I’ve been so busy working and realize I haven’t much to show for it lately. Hopefully I can sneak in some photo editing while paint dries, baby sleeps, big kids attend school, etc. and get more posted! Meanwhile, enjoy a glimpse of Lady Katherine.
O ye of little faith, behold #5 of 5: Bubba. This magnum opus will be under (or next to) our tree for one of the comic
nerds “appreciators” of the family (yes, there are multiple).
A big thanks to Graphical Interiors for helping make my knob vision reality. They rock!!
Piece #4 of 5 before Christmas: Two Faced. She hasn’t quite made up her mind about knobs. Does she go better with edgy red or soft pink?
Four down, one to go. Cue “The Final Countdown” song by Europe…though it may give me a hankering for Arrested Development and then I’d never get piece #5 done (and “Sword of Destiny” has got to be the best episode!).
Santa’s elves got nothin’ on me. I’m hoping to finish 5 pieces in 4 weeks. May not sound challenging, but I’m also trying to beat the snow, ’cause once the temp drops, then all the fun moves indoors. And paint and polyurethane don’t contribute to the holiday smell.
Here’s a sneak peek of Eloise
I figured I’d increase my chances of finishing and photographing a desk by next week if I posted about it. Now the pressure is on. Here’s a peek at what the paper looks like that tops off this little lovely:
Now for the right knob/paint combo to come together, the weather to cooperate for pictures, and my kids to cooperate as well and we’ll have lift off (quite literally, as this piece is getting shipped cross country to my client–and life-long friend!)
